What is Puente?
Puente is a bilingual consulting practice based in Central Texas. We help first-generation families navigate college admissions, help aspiring entrepreneurs start their businesses, and offer translation and web design support — all in English and Spanish.
Who is college advising for?
Families of students from middle school through college, especially first-generation, Spanish-speaking families who want a personalized guide through admissions, financial aid, and enrollment — not a generic checklist.
What's the difference between the four college advising packages?
Resumen General (General Overview, $35 online / $45 in person) is Stage 00: a 60-minute introduction to the whole college process, in a group or one on one. Sesión de Diagnóstico (Diagnostic Session, $50 / $75) is a 90-minute personal session that identifies exactly where your student stands and what comes next. Etapas a la Medida (Custom Stages) lets you pick 1 to 3 of Stages 01 to 07 at a flat $100 online / $150 in person per stage. The Roadmap (La Hoja de Ruta Académica, $350 / $550 launch price) is full guidance through all of Stages 01 to 07, and includes the bilingual roadmap packet. If you need 4 or more stages, The Roadmap costs less.
Do I have to start with the Resumen General before booking anything else?
No, you can start wherever makes sense for you. The Resumen General is a good low-cost starting point, but you're welcome to book a Sesión de Diagnóstico or a single stage directly.
Are your services offered in Spanish?
Yes. Every session, document, and page on this site is available in both English and Spanish — pick whichever language works best for your family, or mix both.
How do I book a session?
Send a message through the Contact page with your preferred date and time, and we'll follow up by email to confirm. There's no online booking system — every request gets a personal reply.
What if I only need help with business start-up or a website, not both?
Business Start-Up and Web Design are shown together because many clients need both, but you can work with us on just one — mention what you need in your message.
What grade or age should my student be to start?
We work with students from middle school through college, but the earlier you start — ideally 9th grade — the more we can help you plan proactively. The 8 stages on the College Advising page explain what to expect at each grade level.
Do you offer translation services on their own?
Yes — Translation Services is its own line, independent of college advising or business consulting. See the Services & Pricing page for details.
